Fortner Engineering is a steadily growing FAA Certified Repair Station specializing in Commercial Aircraft Hydraulic Component Maintenance. We are currently seeking highly motivated and innovative candidates for the following positions:

 

Precision Spool and Sleeve Lap-Fit Technician

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Needed to lap-fit aircraft hydraulic slide and sleeve assemblies

Must be able to work with .0001 inch maximum clearances

Experience required





Hydraulic Test Operator


Responsibilities and Qualifications:


 Preliminary and final acceptance testing of hydraulic actuator, valve and cylinder assemblies

 Testing includes leakage requirements and metering for pressure or flow gains

 Experience required

 Preference will be given to candidates with flow grind and pressure gain experience





Assembly Technician

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

 Needed to assemble simple through complex commercial aircraft hydraulic assemblies

 Lockwire (safety wire) experience a plus

 Assembly experience required





Non-Destructive Test Inspector

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

 Magnetic particle and fluorescent penetrant inspection of aircraft components

 Level 1 certification with previous experience required

Please note that employees conducting safety-sensitive work at Fortner Engineering are required to participate in our DOT/FAA drug and alcohol testing program.

Preference will be given to individuals who:

  • Have experience in a FAA Repair Station environment
  • Have experience working with hydraulics
  • Have experience working in a machine shop environment
  • Possess “hands on” mechanical abilities
